Canadian quintet Walk Off The Earth walked into Revolution Live and performed a wildly-energetic concert that began with smoky bursts of confetti showers. What followed was nothing short of innovative creativity. On stage, these talented musicians participated in an instrument-swapping extravaganza that showcased their ability to play anything in their hands — including guitars, trumpets, ukuleles, basses, banjos, drums and just about every percussive beating device ever made. Sarah Blackwood, Gianni Luminati and Ryan Marshall can all harmonize to the melodic songs or turn the microphone over for individual displays of vocal prowess. Mike Taylor used both his fingers and lungs to tickle the ivories while Joel Cassady pounded out the rhythms that made up the backbone of the group.
Walk Off The Earth formed in 2006 and amassed a loyal following without the help of any major record label promotions — and every fan seemed to be in attendance at this concert. The venue was packed with Wotelings of all ages who eagerly sang along to every tune and soaked up the infectious vibe of the band.
