Slightly Stoopid brought their Everything is Awesome Tour to Sunset Cove Amphitheatre to play tracks from their new album, Meanwhile … Back at the Lab.
When Slightly Stoopid took the stage, the venue was wreathed in a variety of smoke rings, and the vibe was super chill. All the fans were super stoked to hear a night of dub, rock, reggae, blues and hip hop inspired tunes — and the guys from California got the party started with “Dabbington.”
Kyle and Miles were always front and center interacting with the fans who welcomed them with open, outstretched arms. In the background, Rymo, O.G., Dela, Paul W. and Karl Denson jammed with groovy intensity. The music put everyone in a good mood. Fans felt at ease in the relaxing atmosphere and many could be seen walking around barefoot on the lawn and tossing Frisbees as the sun fell below the horizon.
Childhood friends Miles Doughty and Kyle McDonald have been playing together since 1994. The cohesiveness of the two musicians shines through in their passionate performances and that, in turn, energizes the fans.
With a slight breeze blowing and a long setlist that included “This Joint,” “Collie Man,” “2 AM,” “Devil’s Door” and “Wicked Rebel,” everything was definitely awesome at the Slightly Stoopid concert in Boca Raton, Florida.
