Sevendust played the Culture Room on the final night of their Black out the Sun tour and it certainly seemed like they saved all their energy for this performance. The house lights didn’t even have a chance to completely dim before an eager crowd began pushing their way closer and closer to the stage. These guys have incredible stage presence and production value was exceptional. Lajon Whitherspoon knows how to work a crowd and was extremely gracious to every fan within handshake or fist bump range. In addition to his time keeping duties, Morgan Rose let loose with a barrage of screams just as fervent as his assault on the drums. Founding member Vince Hornsby slapped his bass with bone-jarring authority and kept the low section going with high-intensity. Guitarists John Connolly and Clint Lowery made sure their axes stayed sharp with wailing guitar chops and heavy hooks.
Since slithering away from the name Snake Nation in Atlanta, Georgia, Sevendust has released nine albums and toured the world countless times. They remain committed to pushing musical boundaries and delivering songs that speak to fans both new and old.
