The Monster Energy Rock Allegiance Tour at Freedom Hill Amphitheatre in Sterling Heights, Michigan was one of the very best concert festivals of the summer. The publicist, venue, photographers in the pit and bands were all first rate.
Airbourne kicked off the night with a frenetic set of shirts off rock -n- roll that got hotter as the sun fell below the Michigan horizon. HIM followed with blend of alternative, metal and gothic tunes. Danish rockers Volbeat headlined the concert, delivering a fist-pumping set filled with bombastic chords, piercing hooks and thumping rhythms.
