Lita Ford Pinktober concert to Rock for the Cure and raise awareness for breast cancer during Hard Rock Cafe’s annual Pinktober fundraising campaign held at the Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino – Hollywood on October 29, 2015.
The evening kicked off with Lita Ford sitting in as a celebrity judge for the cafe’s Bar Rocker competition. Hard Rock Cafe bartenders competed to showcase their skills and battled to advance and take part at Hard Rock’s global competition to become best bartender. The contestants were judged on recipe knowledge, pour testing, accuracy, speed, flair and showmanship. The grand-prize winner will have his or her drink feature on the Hard Rock Cafe menu for a limited time.
When Lita Ford took the stage, there was little doubt that the Queen of Metal still reigns supreme. Her feisty fretwork and fierce vocals were the hottest things on the menu during the Hard Rock Cafe Pinktober Benefit Concert. And the crowd ate up the entire performance. Though the setting was intimate, Lita Ford rocked out as if she were in front of a packed arena. She played songs that spanned her solo career, a tune from her days with the Runaways and somber duet that she originally performed with the Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne.
