Under the flash of a strobe, LIGHTS took the stage and began a brilliant techno-pop concert during the Little Machines Tour. The venue was packed with ardent fans, all of whom came out to hear the Juno Award winning singer, songwriter and musician from Canada play tracks from her latest album: Little Machines. Her set was filled with plenty of synthesized dance beats that complemented an undeniably spirited performance. Those in attendance, mostly twenty-somethings, swayed and bounced to the electronica beats while pushing their way closer to the stage.
As if in homage to the Ontario star’s name, vibrant purple, yellow and blue lighting washed across the stage, mixing with a hazy background to create a moody ambiance. That mood, of course, was warm and inviting. It was nice to see so many people having a genuinely good time.
Through a constant smile, LIGHTS played tunes that drive her soul and get those already enlisted in the LIGHTS Army to continue to swoon over her music. LIGHTS beamed as she interacted with the crowd, telling them how excited she was to be back in Fort Lauderdale playing at the Culture Room. She was also stoked that LIGHTS Little Machines Tour gave her an opportunity to soak up the sun and run her toes through the sand on the beach.
