Bands don’t become festival headlining sensations without selling more than 35 million albums, amassing a legion of fans and grabbing a few Grammy Awards along the road to rock -n- roll superstardom. And they don’t attract more than 12,500 die-hard followers willing to stand in Korn rows under the sweltering Florida sun for nine hours without playing some really damn good music — and putting on one hell of a show. Night had fallen by the time the rock group from Bakersfield, California took the stage, which was the perfect setting for the the raw and heavy dark-themed songs that made Korn famous. Their performance at Monster Energy’s Fort Rock proved they still got the life.

Twenty years ago, Korn uprooted the music scene with a uniquely innovative style that led to mainstream success as pioneers in the nu metal genre. They have never, never looked back. Together again with founding members Jonathan Davis, James “Munky” Shaffer, Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu and Brian “Head” Welch, the band was at the top of their game. Backed by Ray Luzier on drums, Korn delivered an epic concert that pumped up the volume during the World’s Loudest Month.
