Every member of the Blood Legion in South Florida knows that Revolution Live is the preferred venue to see an In This Moment concert. And when the band came back for an encore performance to close out 2018, it was a show filled with plenty of loud music and stage show excitement.
Lead singer Maria Brink is the queen of costume changes and theatrics. Her choreographed performances with the Blood Girls are completed by creative stage designs to give the audience a totally immersive and visually stunning experience. Backed by founding member and axe slinger Chris Howorth, the music drives the concert in a hard-hitting direction. During his performance in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the guitar player took a break from shredding to enjoy a little birthday cheer from his band mates and audience members.
Attacking the frets on the opposite side of the stage was Randy Weitzel. This riff master played a seven-string guitar that screamed throughout the venue during In This Moment’s set. On the low end, Travis Johnson kept the rhythm section on steady course of upbeat mayhem. The bass player concealed his face with a homemade mask that added to the mystique of his stage presence. Perched on his drum riser, Kent Diimmel pounded out the beat that kept the band’s backbone steady and strong. And his drum solo was worth every minute the spot light shined on his flailing sticks.
