Here Come The Mummies dusted off the Florida sand and marched through the fans at the Culture Room in a drumline procession to take the stage for a funky night of bad-ass music. Dressed fashionably in the latest from the winter bandage collection, this band of mummified musicians performed one of the most outstanding and truly memorable concerts this venue has ever hosted. Looking not a day over 5,000 years old, the afterlife has certainly been good to these mummies. Talent oozed from every decaying part of their bodies. They played longer and with more energy than groups centuries younger.
Legend has it that these swaddled rascals are believed to have ruled studio sessions for major record labels — some winning GRAMMY awards before being embalmed. But even the most loyal Here Come The Mummies followers have not been able to uncover any evidence to support this lore. So unless a team of inquisitive archeologists can dig up the truth, this mystery will have to remain perfectly preserved and kept under wraps.
If you haven’t done so already, make sure you see Here Come The Mummies live in concert. They’re building an eternal legacy with a blend of funky R&B laced with naughty lyrics, unmatched musicianship and boundless intensity. Can’t wait to see them when they come to your town? Download their new five song EP A La Mode for free and get in tune with the coolest mummies to ever play instruments. Failing to do so will plague you with the curse of having to listen to crappy music.
