Armed with guitars, drumsticks and a bass, members of American heavy metal band Fozzy stormed the Culture Room, flanked the stage and opened fire with the song “Do You Wanna Start A War” while waiting for charismatic frontman Chris Jericho to make his appearance. Donning a shiny LED jacket, the lead-singing grappler wasted no time lighting up the room by fortifying his position at the center of attention — and immediately put the fans in an entertaining submission hold.
Exceptional musical ability, commanding vocals and continuous mugging ensured the crowd got exactly what they came for and more. Fozzy always delivers 110% and performs at over-the-top levels. The band’s concerts are among the most energetic in all of metal, and many who come to see Fozzy play live are never, EEEEVER the same again. Maybe their success is due in part to a well-orchestrated rock show set up by musicians who have played in popular bands and a lead singer who wrestles in squared circles. Or maybe it’s just happenstance …
Fozzy is out on the road in support of their Cinder Block Party World Tour. The band’s concert at the Culture Room marked Fozzy’s first south Florida appearance.
