As a concert photographer, I always arrive early at venues without a photo pit (the Culture Room in Ft. Lauderdale) so I can stake my spot and shoot opening acts like the Ambassadors. Unfortunately, the eager masses sometimes skip school and get there before me. No problem, I just set up across from the stage, attached my telephoto lens and got some great shots of the Ambassadors. I loved hearing the music of a band I wasn’t familiar with and broadening my horizons.
